The visit centre in Talamone, together with the Alberese one, is the starting point for excursions inside the Maremma Park. To prevent the risk of fires limitations have been decided both to trails and to opening times: the itineraries remain closed between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm. In the afternoon after 4.00 pm, a guide will be available on the trails again giving tickets to tourists and providing assistance and information.
There are two trails departing from Talamone:
T1 Punta del Corvo brief trail. Departure is from the South gate, near the Caprarecce farm, which can reached with a fork to the right on the dirt road (Cannelle), one kilometre before the Talamone. The trail is simple and lasts 2 hours overall.
T2 Punta del Corvo long trail. Departure of the trail is, as the previous one, from the South gate; the trail is more demanding and 3 hours long.
Tickets for both trails cost 5 euro; groups, schools, over 60 and children 6 to 14 pay 3 euro; free entry for children and disabled with companions.
The Park is closed the afternoon of the 15th of august, when local celebrations take place. From the 22nd March to the 30th September the Visit Centre in Alberese will remain open every day from 8.00 am to 3.30 pm.
