Over two hundred teas and infusions arriving from all over the world. Taste them immersed in a familiar and mystic atmosphere: among delicate incense, arabesque decorations, Jewish menorahs, new age music. This is Teeria di Mikael, a place almost out of time and sace, born a few years ago in one of the most historical roads in Livorno, in corso Amedeo 306.
A special kind of place then, because despite tea being one of the most ancient and more common drink in the world, in our western culture such a complete art of wellbeing with ourselves and with others is still not sufficiently appreciated: for this reason it becomes necessary to immediately clarify what a «Teeria» is: a place that is very different from the usual tea room, where not just variety and quality of the plant matters, but also the tools and the accessories used, the warm, welcoming, reassuring and enchanting atmosphere.
In front of a cup of tea pleasant conversation ensues; board games with friends, listening to music, but there also the chance to give space to scent sensations first and then to palate: smelling exotic and imaginative mixtures before choosing tea and the part of the world you want to live through it.
At Teeria di Mikael you can taste the tea choosing among the various plantations in the world and the many scents... discover them in cocktails or in particular recipes, perhaps tickling your sweet tooth with tasty cookies.
As well as teas and infusions, the Livornese cafe offers the «cioccolateria», with around 15 different cupped chocolate flavours and aromatised fondues. Teeria di Mikael is open every evening from 9.30 pm till late at night.
