The holiday farm Casa Vecchia rises in the municipality of Cetona, a small town at the edge of Eastern Tuscany a few paces away from the border with Umbria.
Immersed in the green of Monte Cetona, in the province of Siena, the holiday farm managed by Marcella Scalacci offers hospitality in two apartments and three rooms inside a traditional Tuscany country house, furnished in farmhouse style with a panoramic view over the sweet hills that surround it.
Two apartments, which can be rented weekly or for overnight stays, with living room, kitchen corner, bathroom and terrace to spend many pleasant moments of relaxation. The farm has a large swimming pool (in the picture), a park that extends around the whole house where you can have tasty open air barbecues the guests can organise themselves.
If on the other hand you prefer to spend the day touring around the area, the farm stay Casa Vecchia is a few kilometres away from the medieval centre of Cetona, a hamlet at the foothills of the mount by the same name, with traditional alleys and lanes, the mysterious caves of the Mount Cetona nature reserve and the Franciscan Santa Maria hermitage in Belvedere.
You can also easily reach the some of the most fascinating and history rich locations of the Val d'Orcia: Bagni San Filippo with its thermal waters, just like Bagno Vignoni with its large basin in the town centre; but also Pienza, Radicofani and some of the most mysterious and solitary towns of the Monte Amiata.
Inside the farm stay guests will find mountain bikes available as well as children games, and a few kilometres away riding centres, thermal pools and tennis courts. Overnight stay costs vary from a minimum of 31 to a maximum of 47 euro.
