Located in a panoramic point, so much as to seem to brush against San Gimignano’s majestic and fascinating towers, the agriturismo rises in a typical 1800’s Tuscan stone country house, renovated maintaining architectonic features unaltered: eight rooms and one apartment furnished with original 19th century renovated furniture maintaining the simplicity of farm atmosphere.

Overall Casanova di Pescille offers 14 bed places and a small and romantic two room apartment where farmer tradition is accompanied by all the comforts of modern life: rooms are equipped with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and safe. The main structure also offers spacious common rooms and a pretty and typical breakfast hall.

On the outdoors of the buildings, immersed in the green of the reserve, you can chance upon foxes, wild boars, partridges or let yourself be lullabied by cricket music, perhaps comfortably seated on the pool side, next to the main building. From here you can easily reach Tuscany's greatest cities of art: Siena 30 kilometres away, Pisa 90, Florence 40 and Volterra, the city of alabaster, 25 kilometres away.

Casanova Pescille is not just relaxation and comfort, but also a wonderful opportunity to taste the typical products of the area. In the small shop room you can buy: Chianti and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, as the concern belongs to the Vernaccio wine road consortium; olive oil (Dop product); honey, saffron, grappa and Vinsanto. As Roberto Fanciullini, owner of the agriturismo, told us, «these are all my products, the only thing is honey... the bees take care of that one ».

The agriturismo remains open from two weeks before Easter until half November. The cost, in every period, is of around 38 euro inclusive of breakfast. Dogs and cats are welcome.
To reach Casanova Pescille, when you get to San Gimignano, follow the road signs for Volterra, after two kilometres, turn to the left.
