The farm is immersed in nature, has ten rooms, some inside the main house, others in small chalets. All rooms are equipped with independent bathroom, television, fridge bar and telephone. The price of a double bedroom is around 72 euro, including an abundant breakfast, made with traditional homemade products.

The agriturismo is in the spirit of good company: dinners are enjoyed at a long table along with the other guests and the owners. Dishes served alternate day by day in the most important classic recipes of the area (always home made), rich in flavours: acquacotta, The Maremma dish; pappardelle (wide tagliatelle which are normally accompanied by game sauces, boar or hare); tortelli (which can be filled with ricotta cheese and spinach, potatoes or chestnuts); tagliolini "alla buttera", prepared with capocollo, boar sausage, lard and salame. The price of dinner is of around 20 euro per person, drinks inclusive.

As well as the good company the agriturismo "Le Fontanelle" focuses on nature: the farmhouse is surrounded by a park with a little lake where you can fish tench and carp; as well as various ducks, wild ducks, geese and herons, mouflons, fallow deer and row deer that wander around in the green.

Don’t forget the two very friendly dachshunds Filippo and Olivia and the farm’s mascot: donkey Gina. And with so many quadrupeds it only natural that guests can also bring along their friends from the animal world: dogs, horses and all other animals are welcome. Of course forewarn of their presence to avoid any problems.

To reach "Le Fontanelle": from the Livorno-Roma highway, exit Grosseto Est, follow road signs for Saturnia and Montemerano, a few kilometres after the fork for Saturnia and just a little before Montemerano on the Strada Provinciale Follonata, SP 10, in the small town Poderi di Montemerano, on the right, you will find the sign for the ‘azienda agrituristica’ "Le Fontanelle".
