In the border area between Emilia, Liguria and Tuscany, Macerie (Pontremoli) in Lunigiana to be exact, rises the country establishment «La Fola». Born in the beginning as an agricultural concern («Antica Fattoria Contadina») specialised in the production and sales of extra virgin olive oil and wine, just over a month ago, as restructuring finished, the farm opened.

Surrounded by over 23 hectares of land the new holiday farm offers 8 double rooms with the most modern comforts (each room has internet connection, cable radio receiver, satellite TV and telephone as well as a safe, hairdryer and fridge-bar) united with the elegance of the traditional Tuscany furniture: wooden furniture, terracotta tile floors and Florentine embroideries. As well as the rooms, a four bedroom apartment is available comprising of kitchen, living room and attic with king sized bed.

«La Fola» is an excellent starting point to visit the coastal towns in Versilia, to discover the surrounding nature or to visit the cities of art, as it is only 80 kilometres from Pisa and 140 from Florence. All guests can use a TV room and reading room. Also, in summertime, you’ll find relief from the heat in a revitalizing swimming pool with water massage from which you’ll see a beautiful landscape on the Lunigiana.

And to taste a bit of traditional Tuscan food a small restaurant is available for guests as well as those who want to enjoy the production of the «Antica Fattoria Contadina». La Fola also offers all guests a guide service in a six-seating van to discover the remotest places in Lunigiana and the whole of Tuscany. Average price for an overnight stay with breakfast is about 47 euro, a little more if you prefer half-board: around 67 euro.
