"Continuitą. Arte in Toscana 1947-2000", the exhibition alternates in four different moments and four different locations, tied into the continuity that unites Art in Tuscany. One exhibition is held in Palazzo Strozzi, "Arte in Toscana 1945-1967", and other two are in other locations in Pistoia e Prato.
The Centre for contemporary art "Luigi Pecci" in Prato hosts "Continuity. Art in Tuscany 1990-2000 and collecting of the contemporary in Tuscany", which focuses its attention on the most significant works of the last ten years of the past century and those deriving from the private and public collections of the region.
The exhibit occupies various halls of Prato's modern exhibition centre, but the true pivot is the setting of the first floor. Here Jean - Christophe Amman, the editor of the Parto exhibition, has placed the works "Collezionismo del contemporaneo in Toscana", that is the pieces that collectors and art lovers, public institutions and centres of art have kept, thus transforming Tuscany in a place of strong growth and vitality for the region's contemporary art.
In the section "Collezionismo del contemporaneo in Toscana" there will be the works of such artists as Alighiero Boetti, Enzo Cucchi, Giorgio De Chirico, Gino De Dominicis, Jean Dubuffet, Lucio Fontana, Piero Gilardi, Raymond Hains, On Kawara, Paul Klee, Morris Louis, Alberto Magnelli, René Magritte, Piero Manzoni, Giacomo Manzł, Mario Merz, Aldo Mondino, Giorgio Morandi, Zoran Music, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Luigi Ontani, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mimmo Rotella, Salvo, Alberto Savinio, Julian Schnabel, Mario Schifano, Serse, Ben Vautier, Gilberto Zorio and others.
