A land of history and culture, nature and an enviable artistic patrimony. From these and others conditions arises the "Toscana Film Commission". The public structure designed and created by Regione Toscana to make the most of places and resources becoming a connection between local institutions and the film industry and television and advertising productions.
The institution's aims are those of favouring a qualified offer of Tuscany's resources, this also means an interactive assistance on the territory during film sets. As well as assistance and facilitations in the choice of locations there is also a technical support of human resources but also technical services to assist in film takes.
To this end, on the Toscana Film Commission web site there is a database which offers the opportunity, to all operators in the business, to be entered into an archive where professionals of the sector are catalogued, subdivided according to their roles. To these categories' archive productions and interested operators have access, exclusively "on demand".
An institution which has seen the need to exist in order to fully exploit regional resources, starting from the assumption of being caretaker of great national treasures, because this is what Tuscany's land offers, natural film sets which can suit the most varied scripts. Up to today Tuscany has hosted, beginning in the early 900's, around 200 films.
The condition is confirmed by the flows of tourism, whether National or International, which find the ideal destination in Tuscany. And seeing the International level interest, to continue in the enhancement of the territory, the Region decided to keep relations with the National Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE), Italian institutes of culture, Communities of Tuscan people abroad and Foreign delegations of Enit (National Tourist Board).
