In the heart of Siena, inside the huge and powerful bastions of San Francesco and San Filippo belonging to the Medici fortress built in the 500’s for Cosimo de’ Medici, in an alternating of halls, vaults and corridors, the doors of the Enoteca Italiana open: the ideal place to taste and enjoy the quality of the best wines in Italy.
Enoteca Italiana is not a typical wine shop, but a place for you to enjoy, discover and appreciate the history of the nectar of the gods, discover the labels and the history of the vines through the publications of the Organisation; look around the over 500 companies and the thousand labels of the wine cellar’s «collection».
At the wine bar you can enjoy free tasting or follow the advice of professional sommeliers, uncovering the flavours of Italian and International wine. The ambient ids that of Medici bastions with small terraces under pergolas in the summer and intimate rooms in the winter. But you also choose to taste your wine with samples of cheese and cured and salamis from the Tuscan farms; if on the other hand you prefer an evening with company, Enoteca Italiana prepares group tastings, naturally upon reservation.
Enoteca Italiana has two conference rooms for meetings, seminars and a calendar of events of various kind: from music to cultural evenings. Closed on Sundays, from Tuesday to Saturday it opens all day from 12 pm to 1 am, Monday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
