An alternative venue, one of those places that try to offer new spaces, not just to customers but also to initiatives. Basically not just the classic venue where you go in to have beer, eat a bite and have a chat. Elliot Braun is a bar, restaurant, pub and much more besides.
It stays open at lunchtime offering great cheaper and fast courses for those just passing by. But the best time to hang out at the Elliot Braun is what’s defined, by the owners, the Apericena, the moment when you can enjoy the excellent house aperitif. Accompanied with snacks, cool salads and cured meats, all offered in the buffet that is laid out for the hour of the aperitif.
Apericena is a truly remarkable recipe: something that closely reminds us of the mojito, with a variation from the original cocktail where mint is replaced with sage, basil, or wild fennel. And all the Apericena service at the single cost of 5 euro.
During the winter period, a week-full of appointments for the after dinner: thus Tuesday starts with multimedia appointments, acting groups of young artists and video showing of ad hoc films. Wednesday acoustic music evening; Thursdays, fortnightly, the presentation of a painting exhibition inside the venue, in collaboration with Clive Griffiths; Fridays a cosmopolitan evening, the evening for exotic cuisines: Indian, Russian etc. Sundays is the evening for good live jazz music and Saturday... surprise evening!
For all appointments entry to the Elliot Braun is free: in via Ponte alle Mosse 117 (Florence) from 10 am to 4 and from 6 pm to 2 am; Friday and Saturday until 3 am; closed Saturday and Sunday morning, Monday evening.
