Instants captured around the world, snapshots in fashion shows, artistic nude portraits, black and white print and digital photography.
These are just some of the images and topics dealt with in the occasion of the tenth edition of Toscana Foto Festival, from the 7th July to the 18th August in Massa Marittima, municipality in the province of Grosseto.
A programme of initiatives entirely dedicated to the world of photography: workshops, conventions, exhibitions, seminars and prizes for lovers of the art of portraying through the lens.
Born almost as a bet, the Toscana Foto Festival has become today one of the most eagerly awaited and followed appointments for young talents both for the experience of working directly in touch with the Masters of the lens, and for the inspiring and historical atmosphere of Massa Marittima, in Tuscan Maremma.
The 2002 edition of Toscana Foto Festival, organised by the artistic director Franco Fontana, plans many workshops to which you can still take part calling +39 0566 901 526. The subjects dealt with range from the reportage to the portrait, from the fashion sector to the nude, but also photography and black and white as well as digital printing.
As far as the teachers are concerned they really do not need introductions, names are enough: Douglas Kirkland, David Burnett, Guy Le Querrec, Francesco Zizzola, Andrea Pistolesi, Jean Gaumy, Lucine Clergue and Antonio Guccione, Patrizia Savarese and Ken Damy etc.
Also Sunday 14th July the «Giornata dell'usato», a market fair of used photographic and collector's material. These initiatives are also tied in with a significant number of exhibitions.
