2002 sees the return of the Universalis initiative promoted by the Municipality of Pisa in association with Opera della Primaziale Pisana and the Soprintendenza ai Beni Artistici Ambientali e Storici.

Universalis is the card enabling access to ten museums in Pisa paying a single ticket of 12,91 €. The cumulative ticket, which costs less than the sum of the single entry tickets to each museum, can be used until the 31st October 2002, and has a validity of eight days including that of the emission.

Universalis therefore allows access to the following museums and monuments of Pisa: Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta; Camposanto monumentale; Battistero; "delle Sinopie" Museum; Museum of the Opera del Duomo; Santa Maria tower and the walking on the city walls; National San Matteo Museum; National museum of Palazzo Reale; Church of Santa Maria della Spina and Torre Guelfa of the old town.
