The music is light, but the performers who will be guests of the next Florentine season have weighty names. And a long tradition behind them.
Among the bearing columns of the programme presented by the PRG, Paolo Conte with the other two "Razmataz" dates (12th and 13th January) and a possible repeat on the 14th; Zucchero with a single date at the Palasport the 6th of March; Ornella Vanoni (7th February), Roberto Vecchioni (9th and 10th February) and Lucio Dalla on tour with his new album.
Next to the great elders of a Italian music which seem to remain unchanged in their lustre and aggressiveness (especially in the recording market) the new but well- established new generation faces: 883 at the Palasport the 7th of December with their seventh album, called illuminatingly "Uno in pił" and then Laura Pausini, our most International star who, like a few rare colleagues of hers, is a prophet for her homeland too. The new stage at "Sashall" is ready for her the 6th of February.
Raised on the ashes of the "Palatenda", Sashall, the new temple of music, will host (single seat) 2700 people and, despite being a tensile structure like its forefather, seems to offer futuristic architectonic solutions with a gallery of 300 places and an underground heating system.
While we wait for the opening of this eighth wonder the spaces for these concerts remain the Teatro Verdi and the Palasport.
The Milanese performer Biagio Antoniacci, started his tour in Montecatini Terme on the 7th of November, after the release of the single "Ritorno ad amare". Who has invented for himself a new and brilliant repertoire every time, despite doing many dates, is Vinicio Capossela who the 20th of Decmber presents a totally Christmassy show with his "Christmas Song". Classics borrowed from the American forties tradition.
Finally two foreign bands will be welcomed by Florence: Incubus the 4th of February at the Sashall and Judas Priest are back on the 4th of April.
