At its 36th edition the classic appointment with Vinitaly is now about to start. The wine fair, which is held every year in Verona, starting from Thursday 11th of April until the following Monday, will see Verona become the meeting point of Italian and international oenology.
And of course Tuscany couldn’t miss such an important appointment; a region offering the beauty of fourteen recognised wine roads, controlled and guaranteed origin denomination wines, and wine companies that every year produce among the most appreciated and well-known wines by experts and tasters.
2002 also sees the presence of the Tuscan companies gathered in a single 6 thousand square meters stand (hall 37), where 500 exhibitors among the most important wine consortiums and companies of the region, which, coordinated by Apet, proposing an intense programme of guided and free tasting as well as exhibiting DOC, DOCG and IGT products. In total 16 initiatives among which the presentation, Friday 12 April, of the «Wine roads Atlas» in English.
Another interesting initiatives will be the presentation of the collection, unique in the world, of 13thousand bottles of Chianti Classico. A collection born from a hobby of two Tuscan professionals which have collected all the Chianti Classico productions starting form a bottle, the oldest, from Badia a Passignano in 1882 until reaching today’s productions.
Vinitaly will take place in cooperation with the first edition of VINtour, Wine and Oil Tourism Fair, from 12 to 14 April. A special place will be dedicated to SOL, International Fair of Virgin and Extra-virgin olive oil.
