Prato’s Province, Municipality and Apt have united their strengths to organise a charity basketball marathon, which from the 3rd to the 5th of September, will see the parquet flooring installed for the occasion in the square professional basketball players, children, women, lovers and amateurs.

In the three basketball days there will be the women’s and men’s youth teams of the province and mini-tournaments between amateur teams (3 September from 3 to 7 pm); and then stage camps for young ball players led by well known professionals and ex professionals (4th September from 3 to 7 pm) and finally Thursday September the fifth a true ten hour long basketball marathon.

An initiative that, through sporting passion, tries to sustain the project promoted by Unicef «Cambogia, protecting children from abuse ». Proceeds of the friendly match that sees the two First league teams on Tuesday 3rd of September at 9 pm as the culminating moment of the event, will go towards the realisation of the Unicef project.

The event also means to act as a showcase for Prato basketball and for «Pallacanestro Prato 2000», which has taken part in the realisation of the sporting event and has prestigious objectives, such as the team’s entering into national categories.

Tickets for the friendly match are based on personal offers, with a minimum of 5 euro, and can be purchased at Pallacanestro Prato, the Prato offices of Unicef or one of the sponsors of the initiative Consiag, Asmiu, Decathlon and Graf Computers.
