Springtime in Florence opens with a classic running race competition: «See Florence». At its 30th edition, the running race promoted by the committee of Firenze Marathon, at the same time of the sixth edition of Vivicittą, foot racing event held contemporarily in 45 Italian cities and 15 throughout the world.
The foot race also this year will see champions of International foot racing run next to first-time sports people in the name of sport. The sporting event is in fact subdivided in three competitions: See Florence, tourist amateur walking between at and history of the cradle of the renaissance for all non professional sports people and families over the distance of 12 kilometres.
Vivicittą, the agonistic competition over the same distance of 12 kilometres open to athletes on a track developing from Santa Croce square on a flat ring, is part of the International circuit of running racing. Finally the mini Guarda Firenze, (4 kilometres) associated to a graphic-painting competition for pupils of elementary and middle schools of the Municipality of Florence and promoted by the Assessorship to public education which this year poses the topic «Florentine tabernacles ».
Participation in the non competitive foot race costs 3 euro, whereas for the competitive one 6 euro. Races will start at 10 am for the mini Guarda Firenze and at 9.45 for the agonistic and non competitive Guarda Firenze.
