Among Val d'Elsa's century old woods, on a territory of about 1200 hectares unwinding between the provinces of Florence, Siena and Pisa, the little paradise of the Castelfalfi Estate. Here you can admire the beauty of the woods and Tuscan hills with horse-riding walks, as well as strolls and mountain-bike excursions and do trekking on marked trails.
Castelfalfi Estate offers the possibility of staying in the hotel as well as in the apartments of the old Castelfalfi village or in the estate. The apartments are of various types, from the single bedroom flat (one week in high season costs about 516 euro) to four bedroom flat suitable for eight people.
Hotel Medici Tornaquinci, created with the restoration of an old tobacco farm derived from the property that used to belong to the Medici family, right at the entrance of the splendid Castelfalfi village, made up of 28 rooms and 4 suites (overnight stay and breakfast in double room costs between 44 and 62 euro per person according to the season). All rooms are equipped with direct telephone, satellite TV, fridge bar, air conditioning and safe. Jacuzzi in the suites.
The Hotel is also furnished with meeting rooms with basic equipment and, upon request, with those necessary for the event, ensuring coffee break and light lunch services.
Finally the sports facilities. The feather in their cap is most certainly the wonderful 18 hole golf course 6.645 metres, Par 73 SSS 72. The structure is completed by the practice field, putting and pitching green, cart hire and golf cards, changing rooms and club house. There is also a sports fishing lake, tennis courts, three swimming pools of which one for children, one for non-expert swimmers and a semi-Olympic sized one.
If you arrive form Florence: get onto the Fi-Pi-Li highway, exit at the Ginestra Fiorentina and follow the road signs for Montespertoli, Castelfiorentino, Montaione. When you arrive in Montaione take the fork for Castelfalfi (12 km).
If you arrive from Rome-Siena (A1): exit at Valdichiana/Sinalunga, follow road signs for Siena, enter the motorway link Florence/Siena and exit at Poggibonsi. Then continue for Certaldo, Castelfiorentino, Montaione, and form here the fork for Castelfalfi.
If you arrive from Genoa - Pisa (A12): get into the Fi-Pi-Li highway and exit at the second Pontedera exit, continue for Forcoli and then for Castelfalfi.
