The hills of the Chianti create the ideal setting for residence «I Massini», which rests in the greenness of the Florentine countryside in the municipality of Empoli, a few kilometres from Florence.
Three independent houses and 8 apartments gathered in the central structure of the residence, reminding us through their names of the Mediterranean flora, welcome guests in this small corner of paradise.
Inviting and cared for in every detail, both the houses and the apartments are furnished in the traditional Tuscan style with cotto floors and restored antique furniture to offer utmost hospitality during your stay. They are also furnished with every comfort: satellite TV, telephone, central heating, air conditioning (only in two houses) and excellently equipped kitchen.
The residence guests can use a tennis court, a swimming pool and a little lake immersed in the tamarisks, plants of gorse and the olive trees, stretching throughout the park. Residence «I Massini» organises, once a week, visits to the «Fattoria il Paterno» and the cellar which offers its production of grappa, chianti wine, oil and vin santo. Every year the Farm, which is less than a kilometre from the residence, produces wine from prized Sangiovese grapes, a delicious wine matured in small barrels and French durmast barriques. A few kilometres away, famous cities of art: Pisa, Florence and Lucca, and high artistic value centre such as San Gimignano, Volterra and Vinci.
